(2007-12-14) Amazon Simpledb
Amazon Web Services is launching a SimpleDB for their Web Services EcoSystem. It's built on Erlang! Large collections of items organized into domains. Items are little Hash Table-s containing attributes of Key-Value pairs.
Is the query language a "standard"?
I'll bet some ORM folks are staying up late trying to build in support for this. That would be pretty cool to announce.
And will CouchDB becomes Simple Db Lite? Fair amount of differences.
They claim a ReST approach, but not done very well.
