[Tom Siebel] says "if you don't buy our software, the terrorists win". [OK], maybe it wasn't quite that bad, but I'd like to see the transcript. Rep. [Jim Turner] (D-Texas) called 's catalog of missed opportunities "very sobering." Had there been "better intelligence, and that intelligence been shared, it is very likely that Sept. 11 could have been prevented," he said. If nothing else, Siebel is full of shit in terms of capabilities. It's easy to point to the presence of the raw data, after the fact. But there are huge volumes of data, the problem is finding the relevant pieces. So Siebel would have to show how he could take all the data streams the agencies wade through, stuff them into a system, and then make the conclusion jump out. Call us when the demo is ready, Tom.
