Losing sight of the content in your Content Management System. It seems obvious, but worth remembering. I'll even say that this article underestimates the difficulty of avoiding/solving the problem. I'll bet more [CMSs] sold these days are for Intra Net than public site use. It makes certain managers happy to know that all the internal documents look the same and follow some pointless bureaucratic workflow. But maybe the Buy Build Avoid model needs to be applied to documents, not just software. On the other hand, if that's politically unrealistic, maybe a key intranet feature needs to be a rating system, so that good documents can bubble up. As long as it's anonymous...
