What's interesting to me about the discussion is that it basically boils down to an imperative view of web services (the bunch) vs. a functional view (the bunch)...If you do take seriously, and in particular the notion of typed resources seriously, I would argue that Prescod is correct: it should be used so that all of the emerging technologies such as , , etc. can be applied to the resources as needed or desired. You can't do that with - or .
