Details on the economics of $35K/year colleges. Out of the $1,100 a week, the equivalent of 10 percent to 15 percent usually goes to compensate professors... A $35,000 school often spends $70,000 or more per student. At Tufts, only 42 percent of its $410 million total revenue comes from tuition and fees; the rest is funded by government grants and contracts, endowment income, and a variety of other sources. The bullshit classes attended by the writer ([Patrick Healy], an alum) certainly don't communicate any value at all. (Tufts is the alma mater of , by the way.)
