I wonder whether the Roman Cathol Ic Church could declare bankruptcy to avoid paying damages in all the Sexual Abuse cases it's in? There's an article in the [WSJ] today I browsed on the newsstand briefly (since I don't pay for an online sub yet) about them trying to protect specific pieces of Real Estate through corporate facades (shades of EnrOn). I didn't see a section explaining why the plaintiffs should care, given that the Church has plenty of cash on hand...
