Excellent [Chuck Shotton] essay on Doctors vs Geeks which definitely resonates with my experience, both at and as an internal consultant at [N Y Hospital]. These professionals viewed their professions as the pinnacle of human learning, and the human body as the most complicated system possible. Yet, I watched them struggle to solve problems on a daily basis that someone with a rigorous training in logic-based problem solving could knock out in no time.
