Jon Udell on Ms Office (v11) finally getting some real XML support. I wonder (a) whether the XML/XSLT will be "clean" (compared to the HTML now generated by MsWord), and (b) whether Ms Office will nicely consume XML produced by other applications (e.g. [Star Office], Open Office). But I'd guessing I'd need WinXP to find out, so I may never know (given my hopes to avoid the WinXP licensing nightmare).
More fuzzily, I can't help but feel like MsWord and other word processing apps are almost obsolete (other than in situations where "formal" "packaging" is important), given their inherent focus on large self-contained single documents, rather than a web of smaller pieces (e.g. WiKi).
