OReilly editors are discussing the pros/cons of Rich Client internet apps. Simon St Laurent hopes that MozIlla and other non-MsIE browsers regain some momentum, vs Tim O Reilly's support for Flash. I agree there are cases where a Rich Client makes sense, but I'd rather see greater use of DHTML (and, I suppose, XUL/Java Script) whenever possible. Simon says Are your kids actually using Flash to create applications, or are they just consumers?
Hmm, if OSAF does well, will we be able to assume that many users have PyThon and Wx Python runtimes?
