• the other day I saw a BiCycle messenger end a run-in with a cabbie by taking his heavy chain and shattering the back window.

  • why the heck do we still have bike messengers? My theory is that it's rarely because something really needs to be there the same day. It's that it's too big a pain to schlep to the [Post Office] and wait in line half an hour. Maybe the [Post Office] needs a fixed-rate next-morning in-city service so you could just give the mailman the envelope when he drops off your daily mail delivery.

• Poop, can't seem to get Adobe SVG viewing plugin working with MozIlla 1.3. I know this was broken a long time ago. I hope it's been fixed... yikes

• weird addition to Games To Play - I was giving change to a cashier the other day so I'd get a nice round amount back from her (no pennies, etc.). Had an opposite thought - give change to cashier so that you get [Palindromic Change] in return. Not $6.05, but $6.06 (or $6.16, .26, .....). The cashier's never going to get the joke... although if you get the same cashier regularly they might notice this ongoing weirdness.
