Robert Scoble makes the case for desktop Fat Client use. Unfortunately his strawman browser Rich Client example is [Outlook Web Access]. That's like saying that all operating systems suck, just because Ms Windows does!
Oh, good, someone found the OddPost reference for me, I couldn't remember their name. Browser-based EMail client. Of course, it only works with MsIE v5, since DHTML hasn't been truly standardized enough (I wonder how much it breaks with MozIlla?).
their reply: Actually, the DHTML that we use is somewhat non-standard and only available with MsIE 5 and higher for Ms Windows. Sorry about this. Most browsers support some DHTML, but Microsoft has the extra implementation that allows us to have [Drag And Drop] and other nifty features.
