believes that the fragmentation of the market keeps them from broadening their feature set, relative to commercial offerings. He thinks that the "" mentality (vs the "packaged app" model) is bogus. I think he hugely understates the level of customization to make even those core features work in the commercial products. I believe that, once your expectations go above stuff like , you're really talking about a customizable environment, and you should think in terms of platform (and therefore pick based on an and you want to live with).
