John Perry Barlow on the Media Bias against Howard Dean. By pre-announcing the possibility that this might be The Internet Election, we issued fair warning both to the traditional media and the Big Money politicos that a threat was at hand... Moreover, while many of us are convinced that the Internet is a powerful environment for organizing belief, it is also a great cacophony against which even the diminished voice of broadcast retains a kind of clarity.
[Chris Lydon] agrees - The Dean campaign is everything that contemporary Journal Ism is not. If you believe he is their worst nightmare, it's small wonder they tried to crush him like a bug. Almost every touch from Big Media has been to cheapen the Dean cause, to miss the point, to find some personal excuse not to notice the Dean movement.
