Sean Mc Grath notices that, esp when lots of EMail is sent/read as WebMail, it might make sense to think of a message as sitting in one place with a URI, rather than moving/copying it all over the place. I would suggest we are moving from an e-mail-as-mail metaphor to an e-mail-as-publishing metaphor. You still need to "send someone a message" to get their attention so they "go to" that URI. And, that model loses the ability to prioritize/categorize based on the body/contents of the message (unless your Fat Client goes and grabs the URI-s, at which point you're back where you started, but maybe only for a small percentage of people)...
