GooGle has been taking heat for censoring its News headlines in ChinA.
TimBray's piece on this has gotten pushback based on Sun Microsystems' more direct involvement in Chinese Censor Ship.
Now the [American School] in Shanghai has turned over a bunch of North Korea-n refugees to the ChinA police, which will lead to their return to North Korea.
ViaCom's [Sumner Redstone] doesn't worry about such things. We really don't have that problem. The programming on our channels in China is co-produced with a Chinese company. We are very conscious of the taste of the Chinese people and the Chinese government. And therefore we don't produce material that invites criticism from China.
Even ignoring the desires of NiKe and Coca Cola, I'm familiar with the arguments against Contain Ment/isolation and Economic Sanctions. But I'll feel yucky the first time I have to do business with them.
