suggests a technical tweak to paid subscription to bring out of the closet. Publishers can let the bloggers link to any story they post, but limit further consumption of their site to paid subscribers. -s would probably figure out how to get around any such technology, but I wonder how much difference that small a group would make? A commenter suggests the model of daily-pass.
