John Perry Barlow proposes an Iraq Exit Plan - create an independent Kurdi Stan. Of course the Iraqis, or more precisely, the Iraqi Arabs would be none too keen on it, but there is a good chance they will already be too involved in civil war by then to have much energy for re-taking a well-defended Kurdistan. There is a risk that we will still provide them unity by being a greater common enemy to both Sunnis and Shites, but it's hard to imagine them being any angrier at us than they already are.
