It looks like has joined /Chandler team. Here's a fascinating thread about alternative models of changing the "type" of an object (e.g. does an email "become" a task?). They call this "stamping", and chose a "morph" model over a "link" model. That smells wrong to me, but I'm not smart enough to deserve any weight for that opinion! (Also includes some references.)
