Seth Godin's recent EBook-s have been labelled as [Incomplete Book]-s - This is part of the Incomplete series of ebooks that tries to identify just a few important (and overlooked) ideas and sell you hard on putting them to work for you. I believe that your problem (if you have a problem) isn't that you don't have enough data. You have too much data! You don't need a longer book or more time with a talented consultant. What you need is the certainty of knowing that you ought to do something (one thing); then you need the will to do it. Smells like writing For Hackers.
the first one was Knock Knock!, covering the building of an effective WebSite (Story Telling, [Direct Response]).
the newer on is Who's There? which seems tied to making an effective Marketing Blog (or, as he more generally frames it, VirAl blogs).
Blogs work when they are based on: 1. Candor; 2. Urgency; 3. Timeliness; 4. Pithiness; 5. Controversy... if you can't be 4 of those, don't bother.
