Les Orchard gives a Long Tail Creat Ive Yawp. So, imagine a more distributed entertainment universe populated by more creative people - with fewer big productions and even fewer gazillionaires. Creativity, attention, and time become the only significant scarcities. I agree that what's excellent about the Long Tail is that you can be happy just being Famous For Fifteen People, or you can see the potential to be [Famous For One Hundred Fifty People] (Dunbar Number), etc. up a sliding scale, going from [Monolith Ic] Mono Culture to a sliding scale from AmatEur on up...
