I guess that, to the extent that you have a bunch of things kinda like -s on a page, then having the client do the layout work makes sense. But you're still going to have to depend on the to deliver all those particular chunks, and to do the local-layout work... right? Ah, but if you think of a page (like a ) page as mainly consisting of chunks of static content that are currently assembled dynamically, you can instead deliver the container page and each chunk as a static object (for which you can use something extra-fast like ), with the browser calling each piece via and doing the assembly.
