Bill De Hora on using Instant Messaging/XMPP as a platform for Grid Computing, in response to TimBray's excellent overview ([MPI], Map Reduce, GloBus, [GridBus]) of the current landscape, where he concludes that they all make him uncomfortable, coming from a WebApp/SOA/ReST mentality - So I ended up writing my own piece of service-oriented grid infrastructure, named Sigrid, which isn't like any of the other things in this essay. links
Update: more from Tim on [Multi Cast], linking to PyThon example and Spread Toolkit and Zero Conf.
