At UNIS my kids are supposedly Learning French. So far I'm not seeing much progress. So I'm assembling some resources.
the PBS [French In Action] series gets lots of coverage, even from John Walker. Seems rather oriented toward Educating Adults and High School-ers. And not cheap, though maybe free online?
what's that PBS series with the old French guy?
[Language Adventure] software sounds cool but has no MacOsX version.
Mia's Language Adventure sounds good and runs on MacOsX but I'd really rather just having a [VHS]/DVD for the kids to watch for now.
First Step en Francais looks appropriate but can't find a way to buy it.
one of TheKids has actually used the BBC Muzzy tapes at school a couple times. $180 for a bunch of stuff.
I wonder whether the [Standard Deviants] shows are any good? Cheap, so ordered one.
