Rather than thinking of as a single plan built on predictions of the future, we should think of strategy as a portfolio of experiments, a population of competing -s that evolves over time. (, vs )

This excerpt focuses on during 1987 (focus on ? dump and do apps?). Considering how much -driven cash they had to throw around, I'm not sure this is an informative example for other managers.
