Fabius Maximus on the greatest enemy of the US. America has many enemies, but our greatest danger comes from ourselves. Superpowers often die of self-inflicted wounds, as did Rome, Spain, Napoleon's Empire and Hitler's [Third Reich]. A strong defense is essential, but let's also strive to master our fear, pride, and rashness. After doing so, we might find the world a less threatening place - or at least one we can more easily manage. Contra Thomas Barnett.
