[Rebecca Mac Kinnon] notes that GooGle, YaHoo, and Micro Soft have joined a [Business For Social Responsibility] process for having open discussions about appropriate standards of behavior in other countries (e.g. Censor Ship in ChinA).
(This is back-dated, I only found this post in Jul'2008 - but even without hindsight I would have said: Color me skeptical.)
