Cory Doctorow thinks we're perfectly happy to read on screens, we just don't want to read the long-form NovEl (EBook) there, because on-screen reading is more interrupt-driven (Continuous Partial Attention). A commenter notes that [Charles Dickens] and other writers published plenty of books in installments.
Sept update: he sees the EBook as a promotional (Market Ing) device that sells more print books.
