Fred Wilson disagrees though at least says the employer should pay the employee for the months that he's "on the beach". More precisely, in the comments he says most employers don't pay for employees to sit on the beach but i am willing to do that in the case of our portfolio companies and their non-competes. if you want to force someone not to work, then there should be a cost.
