My Sister is a newspaper photographer. She says that her paper is moving toward the photographers becoming Multi Media producers. They're being trained to shoot digital VidEo which can be used for the paper's WebSite, then grab frames to make the stills used in print. She says at least one major city paper is already using frame-grabs for their front-page "photo". (Newspaper Publishing)
Mar'2008 update: another approach they're taking is the AudIo [Slide Show], using [Voice Over] over the story participants with stills. She just did one of these for a story about [Veronique Moses], who's helping African refugees in Salt Lake City who are getting kicked out of their apartment building since the [Land Lord] changed.
