thinks he left off a huge reason: no spam () or trolls. This is a side-effect of the assymetry that Howard noted.

I think the downside is that the odds are lower that a given person, even one who follows you, will see a specific message you broadcast. Which I think makes it harder to say anything important in there. Or maybe not. Related: can't pretend to use it as .
