Dennis Howlett suspects Social Software won't go far up the Adoption Life Cycle in the BigCo/Enter Prise because the Core Group CultUre wants to protect its PowEr.
I agree. Telling/selling yourself that your Enter Prise sales will change the culture of the BigCo is delusional. It might help wake-up some of the worker-bees, though, leading them to seek free-er pastures. (But, hey, if the Enter Prise market helps create "monetizing" [Cash Flow] for Social Software StartUp-s, that's a good thing. But a wearying game to play...)
Apr29: [Alan Patrick] considers the Enter Prise software [Sales Model]. And Fred Wilson considers whether sociability requires a trust which employees won't give to their employers.
