TimBray notes how he's doing Data Synch of his PhoTo-s across two MacOsX machines. I want all my pictures on both the MacBook (from which I blog) and the Pro (on which I plan to edit)... I want to edit mostly on the Pro but sometimes on the laptop, and I don't see why this should be hard. He's using [Light Room]. He ends up using [RSynch] to synch things.
I have similar issues, using IPhoto.
They've made it harder to move things around now by hiding the fact that your iPhoto library is just a big directory of files. From the Command Line you can dig down, though I don't know whether making changes would result in some really nasty breakage.
At the moment I've been moving toward making JiHi's [IMac] the master repository, since she says she'll do some tweaking (cropping, etc.), and ordering prints of stuff she wants (she's still a big believer in physical albums). But she hates seeing some of the weird images that I make/save. Hmm, maybe I'll just make a separate album to move those into.
