Dave Winer is disappointed, both in ourselves and in Barack Obama z2008-07-04- Happy Fourth: From gun control to abortion, to illegal wire-tapping and funneling government money to religious organizations, the man who sold us Change You Can Believe In, it's sad to say, appears not to have believed in it himself.
It's tricky for me, because I never liked his Popul Ist crap. So to the extent that he drops those things (protectionism, loony welfare increases) I think it's a good thing. But to extent he joins the anti-individualist Conservat Ive positions (FISA, etc.), that's a bad thing.
