Mark Bernstein is program chair for the next WikiSym. He has a series of WiKi-related bits - "mysteries".
conference people puzzling over Media Wiki. He's right, that's a Wiki Engine that's lost its [Wiki Nature] - I always refer to it as a CMS.
does Automatic Linking limit the types of writing possible in such spaces (e.g. is irony-in-linking too difficult)?
how do you spread a story arc over a series of pages? How about: name each page as a title for a "scene"; at the end of each page put the link to the next "scene".
But Wiki Pedia is a very big wiki, and so it naturally is sometimes the first to encounter problems of scale and Govern Ance that will eventually confront lots of wikis. Hmm is that true? How many Wiki Space-s will get that big? Should they? Or should there instead be a galaxy of small spaces, each "owned" by a smaller more-coherent group, and connected to other spaces via a variety of Inter Wiki techniques?
