[Dick Grasso] was sued by Eliot Spitzer (when he was Attorney General of New York State) over his huge deferred-compensation package (Executive Compensation) as head of the [NYSE].
Feb'2005: Stephen Bainbridge considers why Spitzer didn't go after [Carl Mc Call], considering it part of a pattern of playing [Robin Hood] for the sake of his political future (just like Rudy Giuliani). He says the real issue is the broken Govern Ance model at the [NYSE]. In May'2004, [Larry Ribstein] saw this as a case for deregulation of the securities industry, vs Bainbridge's recommendation to split [NYSE] in two pieces to avoid a Conflict Of Interest.
Jul'2008: Grasso won.
