Rod Welch wrote in 1995 Over the past 12 years I have developed a software program called the Schedule Diary System (SDS), and a technology I call Personal And Organizational Integrated Management Support (POIMS). The technological breakthrough is what I call "integrating scheduling and reporting," which has the effect of combining time and information management. Another breakthrough is giving users the ability to quickly create custom links between information created at different times and from different sources. In sum, SDS integrates time, information, people and documents, and also subject content, or what I call "objectives." The Subject tool is an organic hierarchy of informaiton identification, that can grow as needed. This allows assembling information at wider levels of detail.
