I wonder whether the Roman Catholic Church could declare bankruptcy to avoid paying damages in all the Sexual Abuse cases it's in? There's an article in the WSJ today I browsed on the newsstand briefly (since I don't pay for an online sub yet) about them trying to protect specific pieces of Real Estate through corporate facades (shades of Enron). I didn't see a section explaining why the plaintiffs should care, given that the Church has plenty of cash on hand...
