(2002-12-28) Mark Pilgrim Html Tags
Mark Pilgrim is making great use of standard HTML tags like 'cite' and 'ins' for Semantic Web benefit. What a great approach!
Similarly, Simon Willison uses "strict/semantic" XHTML for his blog (after considering Wiki Markup).
Jan'03 update: Mark just discovered that XHTML v2 drops some of his tags, and he ain't happy about it (and links to previous posts about prior problems he's had with various generations of HTML and XHTML). He's actually reverted to HTML v4! I wonder how many sites use XHTML so far? I wonder how many will use XHTML v2? I wonder what browsers and appliances will do about it?
Jeffrey Zeldman defends XHTML v1x.
Sjoerd Visscher's using XHTML v2 for his blog. Bug #1 Dave is linking to me, but that didn't show up in the stats. Maybe that is fixed with this update. (It's not clean XHTML 2, but I have to have my stats!)
