Greg Elin has released his Image Selection tool. (Update: this became FotoNotes.)

I was just thinking that someone should be cloning Apple's bundled MacOs X Multimedia tools for other platforms, to (a) leverage Apple's GUI research and buzz, and (b) serve the non-Mac users.
