Gerald Faulhaber and David Faber, ex-FCC officials, disagreed with AOL's reasons for lifting the Instant Messaging restrictions the FCC place on it when it approved AOL's purchase of Time Warner. AOL is trying to back out of the agreement it made to build InterOp with Yahoo and MSN IM services.
