Jon Udell opens the question of when/whether J2EE is necessary, vs regular Java (or a more Dynamic Language like Python). I hope when he deals with the scale issue he gets specific - I find that a lot of people think they're dealing with "high" load (and thus need fancy systems) when really they're pretty small fish.
