Weird thought Of The Day: have an OSAF OS. After all, a PDA is mostly a PIM. And even if you do other stuff, you could use ZODB as the Data Store for objects and documents. And there are embedded ports of WxWindows. So why not dump a lots of the cruft that comes in a typical PDA OS? (There's probably a logical contradiction here, since those higher-level apps typically sit on top of a general OS, but I can't help but wonder whether there's a way to strip out a lot of the OS functionality to save space and performance...)
