(2003-06-25) Google Toolbar Blogger

Google's new toolbar connects to Blogger. Dave Winer says it doesn't even use the Blogger API. Totally closed pairing. I can understand that from a narrow business standpoint, but it seems like a Strategy Tax, and re-raises the question of whether geeks should think of Google as their "friend". Evan Williams says he supports Sam Ruby's Echo Standards efforts, but where's the meat?
