(2003-12-03) Purple For Source Code

Weird idea Of The Day: have a dev utility that takes a file of source code and inserts Purple Numbers for each line of source, by putting an In-Line comment on each line (so you need a way to work around "real" inline comments). Then, when you run a documentation generator (like Python's DocUtils) against the source code you get output files with Purple Numbers in them. (I was thinking to build this into the document generator, but then as you edit the source code numbers keep getting reassigned. So you need to get them stuck right in the source code.)
