(2003-12-19) Real Sues Microsoft

Real Networks is suing Microsoft on Anti-Trust. The complaint adds that Microsoft has wielded its "monopoly power to restrict how PC makers install competing media players while forcing every Windows user to take Microsoft's media player, whether they want it or not."... In 1998, Rob Glaser told members of the Senate Judiciary Committee that Microsoft's Windows Ms Media Player "breaks" Real's Real Player software... "This shows how little the government's consent decree has remedied the problem," said Gary Reback, an attorney with Carr & Ferrell.
