Burning Bird on on the tensions among individuality, group communication, original voice, lazy obligatory WebLog postings, etc. Lately, when I stumble across a weblog posting that writes in-depth on something of personal interest to the author but completely unrelated to whatever is the 'hot topics' of the day, I just sit and savor it as an unexpected treat. Treat? It's as if the more we communicate, the less original writing there is... It is the communication between us that makes the writing that much more special. Sometimes the link-and-comment postings are simply fertilizer for "richer" thinking that appears later; or at least I freakin hope so...
