(2004-06-10) Filing Rss

When an RSS item tells you something important, and you want to remember it, how do you do that? If it were EMail, you'd stick it in a folder, maybe set a flag or label on it. I guess now you blog it, which has the advantage of allowing you to attach more custom Meta Data so that it should be easier to find later. And some RssAggregator-s already have a "save" function, which I guess is an OK temporary approach... or do you really need a Universal Inbox to manage a coherent set of rules for that?

Jun15 Update: Michael Sippey explains his current approach. Hey, he (still) uses The Brain!

Aug16 update: Jon Udell on using Del.icio.us as a filing/routing mechanism. It supports the operation "route item to topic," which is distinct from "send item to individual or group" or "post item to blog" or even "post item to blog topic." Hmm, wonder if there's a way to layer a WikiWord/Category NameSpace onto this?
