re right to Privacy: Personally I'm not that thrilled with privacy as a concept. It's too vague. It's like fairness. It means something different to every person. It's very subjective. So it's hard to have productive conversations about privacy when it means something different to each person in the discussion. So in the last few years, I've been trying to work on things you might think of as more specific areas related to privacy, like access to information, or identification, or anonymity. Areas where people can, at least, agree on the terms even if you don't agree on what the right policy should be.

re Transparent Society: That's the thing about fighting a secret agency. If you just shine sunshine in, they creep off into the shadows. So if you don't mind having a little sun shined on your life and your activities, then you can beat them. Because they mind.
