Tom Munnecke's Evangelism for GoodNews led Britt Blaser to conclude that GoodNews is Actionable - Some stories may sound like bad news, but if the reader can take an immediate action to improve the situation, then it's good news.

(The whole Good Apples News Service sounds awfully complicated/expensive. What if you just ran a SlashDot site that rated postings on the basis of their Good-ness? Though a key tactic is to create a process that outputs stories that lazy Real World Big Media outlets can republish without any editing/thinking...)
