Jon Udell on the merging of Multimedia - it's production and distribution.

Here's a cool idea - an app for editing Multimedia, kinda like Shock Wave, but that pulls from random sections of remote URI media objects.

• Jon himself has used this technique a lot just to hear highlights of Audio files

• it also reminds me of the practice from David Brin's Earth of people wearing mics and video cameras and uploading everything, hoping that some of it would get "picked up" and viewed by enough people to make them some money... The money piece would need something like Xanadu...
